Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul declares that we share a common faith, which leads us to speak. He also affirms that the power who raised Jesus will also raise us and unite us with others.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this text, the 'spirit of faith' is not a distant doctrine but your own inner conviction—the I AM that believes and thereby speaks. The line 'as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken' is showing you that belief precedes voice; the moment you assent to a truth in your inner dialogue, your words become the natural expression of that inner state. When the author says 'we also believe, and therefore speak,' he invites you to align your outward speech with the inner certainty you already hold. The reference to the one who raised the Lord Jesus and will raise us by Jesus points to the astonishing fact: resurrection is not merely a future event but the awakening of life within. The power that raised Jesus is the very I AM inside you; by that power, you are being drawn into a fellowship with others as you are presented to one another in this inner union. Your present feelings of separation fade as you realize you are already held in the resurrection life, and your words become the natural articulation of that inner reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the very faith that believes; feel the inner current of resurrection now, and speak from that certainty. Let your next words confirm the inner life you are already living.
