2 Corinthians 4:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

13We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
2 Corinthians 4:13

Biblical Context

The verse says we share a common faith and speak from it. Belief in the heart becomes the words we utter.

Neville's Inner Vision

The spirit of faith is not a distant doctrine but a state of awareness you inhabit. 'We having the same spirit of faith' indicates a shared I AM within you, the same act of willingness that once believed and spoke. In Neville’s terms, belief precedes expression: the inner conviction is imagined as already true, and the spoken word serves as its outward confirmation. When you say 'I believed, and therefore have I spoken,' you are not citing memory but enacting the end. To live this way, you must dwell in the end and let your words echo that settlement. The 'we' points to the shared consciousness you enter when you align with your inner certainty, and your external world will reflect the degree to which you sustain that inner speech. Practice a continuous revision of your inner scene until the spoken word matches the desired outcome, then allow your voice to be the natural outflow of that settled faith.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state of the end already accomplished. Say aloud, 'I believed, and therefore I speak,' feeling that your inner conviction is shaping your outer world.
