Life Manifested Through Suffering

2 Corinthians 4:10-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
12So then death worketh in us, but life in you.
2 Corinthians 4:10-12

Biblical Context

We continually bear the dying of the Lord in our bodies so that Jesus' life is made manifest in us. Through these trials, death works in us so that life manifests in others.

Neville's Inner Vision

All growth occurs in consciousness, not in external time. The 'dying of the Lord Jesus' is the steady letting go of the old self-beliefs, the resignation of limited identity. The 'life of Jesus' being manifest in your body is your inner state becoming visible, through form, as strength, compassion, and radiance. When the world delivers trials, you are not being punished; you are being invited to witness the law of life through death. Death works in us so that life might be made manifest in you means your old self is being disciplined by your imagination until a new self is revealed outwardly. Your flesh bears the mark of your inner decision: believe that I AM is your true nature, and that this life already exists within you. Practice daily alignment: dwell on the image of vitality, breathe the conviction that the life of Jesus is active in your mortal frame, and watch as circumstances reflect a fresh vitality in others through you. The 'we' in scriptures is the collective of consciousness waking to its divine animation.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Assume the self already as the life within. In a brief sit, feel the I AM animating your body and repeat, 'I am life here now,' until the sense of limitation dissolves.
