Inner Life Manifestation

2 Corinthians 4:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

10Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
11For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
2 Corinthians 4:10-11

Biblical Context

Paul describes bearing the dying of Jesus in the body so that Jesus' life may be manifested in our bodies. In living through trials, we are carried toward a visible life of Christ within our mortal flesh.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the quiet mind, the dying is a change of state rather than punishment: the old sense of I yields to the I AM, allowing the consciousness of Christ to rise. The body is the field of manifestation, not a tomb; as I assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, life becomes the texture of my days. Each moment that seems to threaten me is the doorway through which Jesus' life flows into my flesh, transforming appearances and behavior. The life also of Jesus is made manifest by keeping inner emphasis on wholeness rather than struggle. I identify with the Resurrection in consciousness, knowing that what I allow in my awareness flows into experience. If I dwell in the truth that I am one with Him now, the mortal flesh participates in that life, and the divine moves in ordinary events.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe into the sense of the I AM, and declare that the dying of Jesus within you is transforming your identity. Then revise your self-image to feel that you already live the life of Jesus in your mortal flesh.
