Inner Mercy Ministry Revealed
2 Corinthians 4:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Corinthians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
We have received mercy, so we do not faint in ministry. We renounce hidden dishonesty and deceit, and we speak and live in truth that moves the conscience before God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Like Neville’s method, the verse invites you to claim a state of mercy rather than chase results. The 'ministry' you speak of is not an outward program but an inner condition, received from the I AM that you are. Because mercy has touched your consciousness, you do not faint; you stand in the present feeling of already having what you seek. The 'hidden things of dishonesty' are the ego’s secret scripts—old fears, manipulations, and self-serving aims—that you renounce by turning your attention from effect to inner truth. You refuse to walk in craftiness or to handle the word deceitfully; instead you allow the manifest truth of your assumption to comprise your speaking and your living. By living consistently with the truth you embody, you commend yourself to every man's conscience in the sight of God—the universal awareness that sees through appearances. Thus, the external is only a reflection of your inner state. If you imagine yourself as the minister of mercy, your life will reveal that truth to all who look upon you, under the gaze of the I AM within.
Practice This Now
Assume you already stand in this mercy-filled ministry; feel the truth saturate your chest and release every hidden dishonesty. Then speak and act from that truth, letting your life commend itself to the conscience of all who witness it.
