Biblical Context
2 Corinthians 2:17 contrasts those who corrupt the word with those who speak in sincerity. They declare their message as God’s own in the sight of God, speaking in Christ.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that Paul does not count himself among those who peddle the word; he declares sincerity as the state of consciousness in which words become living images in your life. In Neville's fashion, the 'word of God' is not a book held at arm's length but a living idea you are conscious of now. If you awaken to the I AM within, you do not toil to polish an outer message; you awaken a truth that speaks through you. The true speaker is not conditioned by audience, condition, or profit; God speaks in you, in Christ, in the sight of God. When you hold to sincerity, you align your speech with the unchanging fact of your being: God-awareness animates every syllable, and the world answers to that inward assumption. Your words then become reflections of your present inner realization, not clever strategies to manipulate outcomes. Practice by returning to the assumption that you already are the pure Word of God, speaking from Christ within. Let every thought, word, and act be a clear witness to that inner state, and watch external circumstances align with it.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly and assume you are the I AM; declare to yourself, 'I am speaking as God in the sight of God, in Christ,' and feel that reality as present now.
