Truth-Driven Inner Alignment

2 Corinthians 13:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 13 in context

Scripture Focus

8For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
2 Corinthians 13:8

Biblical Context

2 Corinthians 13:8 states that truth cannot be opposed; we can only act in service to truth. It invites a shift of consciousness where our outer life reflects our inner alignment with what is true.

Neville's Inner Vision

Truth is not a rival to be conquered but a fixed law of your inner I AM. To say we can do nothing against the truth but for the truth is to acknowledge that your state of consciousness determines every outward event. The 'truth' is the unchanging center of awareness, and any attempt to oppose it is simply your belief in something other than what you already are. Therefore the work is not to wrestle with appearances but to revise the inner assumption until it matches the reality you desire. When you assume the truth as already real, you stop fighting life and become its instrument; the imagination, rightly used, becomes the channel through which truth moves. Do not attempt to bend truth with will alone; align your inner conviction with the feeling of its reality, and actions flow from that inner certainty as naturally as light follows dawn. In this light, every choice is for truth, because truth is the I AM you awaken to recognize and inhabit.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare: I am the truth; my inner state is aligned with truth, and I revise any belief that opposes it until it feels true. Then imagine a simple scene where you act in perfect harmony with truth, feeling the ease and certainty of its realization.
