The Inner Power of Weakness

2 Corinthians 13:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 13 in context

Scripture Focus

4For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
2 Corinthians 13:4

Biblical Context

Paul says Jesus' crucifixion appeared weak, yet was powered by God; likewise, believers may feel weak, but live through God's power available to them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your verse is not about a distant event in time but about a shift in your own inward state. The crucified Christ is the image of your old consciousness—the part that believed in separation, limitation, and weakness. Yet Christ liveth by the power of God, which is the living I AM within you. When you ask, 'Where is God?' you discover that God is the awareness that answers, I AM. The power here is not a force external to you but the action of your own imagination when it is rightly directed. Weakness is simply a door through which you pass into a higher vibration of awareness. The resurrection is your awakening to live by that power toward others, toward yourself, toward all circumstances. You shift from looking at appearances to proclaiming, 'I AM that power now.' In this moment, the living Jesus is your present consciousness, unfolding through you as you align with the truth that you are one with God. The toward you indicates the power that flows when your inner state is steadfast and quiet, enabling outward life to echo your inner certainty.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of your I AM as the power within you, and revise a current limitation by stating, 'I am the power of God within me now.' Then close your eyes and feel this truth as real in your body for 60 seconds.
