Edification Beyond Presence

2 Corinthians 13:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 13 in context

Scripture Focus

10Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.
2 Corinthians 13:10

Biblical Context

Paul writes from absence to avoid sharp rebuke, using the Lord’s power for edification rather than destruction.

Neville's Inner Vision

From the seat of the I AM, the apostle’s note that his sharpness is withheld until he can edify becomes a call to inner authority. Absence here signals that true power dwells as consciousness, not as outward correction. When you read these words, imagine that your own responses are governed by a present grace, a power given to build up and not destroy. Every event in your life is a movement of your inner state; you choose to let love and clarity rise, not judgment. As you dwell in the I AM, your speech and deeds become instruments of edification, and what would have harmed turns toward healing. The destruction Paul would prevent dissolves as you revise your state to align with inner edification. Your practice is to assume that you are already edifying, and let that assumption quietly reshape every encounter.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, acknowledge the I AM within you, and revise a recent friction into edification by assuming you are already the presence that builds up. Spend 1–2 minutes feeling that reality as if it were happening now.
