One Spirit, Shared Steps

2 Corinthians 12:17-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 12 in context

Scripture Focus

17Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?
18I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
2 Corinthians 12:17-18

Biblical Context

Paul questions whether he or Titus gained from sending messengers, insisting they moved in the same spirit and on the same path.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner theatre of consciousness, you are asked to notice what you call gain. The apostle’s question—Did I gain from those I sent?—is a mirror of your own assumption about possession and purpose. If you feel a movement toward profit, you have separated your messenger from your true I AM. The messengers are not external traders; they are faculties of your mind acting in unity. When you desire a brother, a Titus, or a helper, you are really inviting a chorus of inner powers to walk in your light. To be in the same spirit and walk the same steps is to recognize that there is no other to gain from but you, the I AM. The moment you align with that unity, your outward scene reflects it: there is only one movement, one intent, unbroken by greed. You can live this now by assuming that all who serve your life serve your inner self, and that you serve them in return.

Practice This Now

Assume the state that all whom you send are in perfect harmony with you; silently declare, 'We walk in the same spirit and steps.' Feel the unity until it is real.
