Inner Generosity of Paul
2 Corinthians 12:13-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Corinthians 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul explains he did not burden the Corinthians and that he is ready to come, seeking them, not their possessions. He hints at the deeper dynamic of mutual growth in love.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the stillness of your own awareness, think of Paul not as a man of external rules but as a symbol of your higher self, the I AM that knows no lack. The 'burden' is the old sense that life is a debt you must carry to prove love; the inner state speaks: I seek not yours, but you, for in seeing the other as your own divine image you awaken your abundance. When he says I will gladly spend and be spent for you, he reveals your true supply: you can give of yourself only from the fullness of consciousness that already resides in you. The more you love from that inner state, the more the world returns to you as unity and harmony, not as reciprocation of favors. The charge of 'guile' fades when you trust the inner arrangement: there is no separation between giver and given; it is all movement within the same I AM. So you may revise any sense of lack by recognizing that your generosity is simply your awareness of abundance, continually circulating in the kingdom within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling, 'I am abundantly supplied and freely spend myself for others.' See yourself as the one who gives and is given within, until this sensation becomes real.
