Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul expresses a godly jealousy over the Corinthians, seeking to present them as a pure bride to Christ. He warns that minds can be beguiled by those preaching another Jesus or gospel, threatening the simplicity of Christ.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner theatre, the I AM is the one Husband and the constant consciousness you inhabit. The godly jealousy Paul speaks of is the tender zeal of awareness to keep your mind aligned with the single truth that Christ is not an external preacher but the Christ within—the one, indivisible reality you are aware of. When thoughts rise that preach another Jesus or a different spirit, you are not threatened by persons but by a shifting image within. Observe the movement of belief as you would watch a dream, and do not fight the dream—renew it. Assume the present moment that you are already the bride of the One; revise the scene to reflect that you are presented as a chaste virgin to Christ by your own awareness returning to unity. The cure is not rhetoric but returning to the simplicity of Christ as your inner state. Let every listening be filtered by this question: Is this thought advancing the one Jesus within, or drawing me from the original covenant of consciousness?
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit in quiet and declare I AM, the I AM within, espoused to Christ in the one Mind. When a thought of a different gospel arises, revise the scene to the single reality and feel it real.
