Inner State, Outer Deed Alignment

2 Corinthians 10:9-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 10 in context

Scripture Focus

9That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
10For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
11Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
2 Corinthians 10:9-11

Biblical Context

Paul warns he does not terrify you by letters. He notes that his words can be heavy, but his real power lies in aligning present deeds with the written word.

Neville's Inner Vision

Paul’s note about letters is not a clash of facts; it is a revelation about states of consciousness. The heavy letters are the mind’s externalized declarations, while the weak bodily presence is simply the outer form of a powerful inner movement. When he says, 'as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present,' he is teaching you the same law you can use now: your inner state, clearly assumed and felt, will express itself in action when the moment calls. The outer world is the faithful echo of your inner I AM. If you persist in the awareness that you already are the end you seek, you will begin to see your words and deeds converge, releasing fear of absence and replacing it with steady faith. Do not seek to overpower others with letters; cultivate an inner alignment so that your present life becomes the living proof of your declared end.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the end now with a clear inner picture and feel it real in your chest. When doubt arises, revise your self-image by quietly saying, 'I AM the end realized' until it moves from head to heart.
