Seeing Christ Beyond Appearance

2 Corinthians 10:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 10 in context

Scripture Focus

7Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.
2 Corinthians 10:7

Biblical Context

Paul asks us not to judge by outward appearances and asserts that those who belong to Christ share in that belonging. The invitation is to recognize the inner Christ-consciousness as the basis of belonging.

Neville's Inner Vision

All that you perceive as outward is the surface of an inward state. To declare you belong to Christ is to acknowledge you are the Christ-consciousness now, not awaiting a future change. The I AM—the constant awareness you mistake for a separate self—generates every image, every encounter. When you affirm that you and Christ are one, you erase the line between 'they belong' and 'we belong,' recognizing the same truth resides in you. The verse bids you stop measuring by appearances and rest in the inner identity that is already complete. Your world mirrors your inner state; therefore revise the sense of self until it feels true: I am Christ's now, and all are one in that being. Salvation and redemption become present-tense experiences as you shift perception from outer form to inner essence; your outer conditions answer the inner claim.

Practice This Now

Sit, close your eyes, and revise your sense of self by declaring 'I am Christ's now.' Feel that truth as real in your body and observe the inner state shift.
