Inner Warfare, Inner Victory
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Our warfare is spiritual, not carnal. We cast down imaginations and bring every thought into obedience to Christ, remaining ready to act when obedience is fulfilled.
Neville's Inner Vision
The verse speaks to the theater of the mind, where the true battles occur. The so‑called weapons are not swords but states of consciousness; the 'strongholds' are stubborn imaginations piled up in the heart and seen as reality. I cast down every imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God by turning my attention to the I AM within—the living Christ in me. When I dwell in the awareness of God’s presence, the imagined walls crumble and the mind becomes a clear temple for truth. The 'knowledge of God' is the inner recognition that I am one with the divine reality I seek; to bring every thought into obedience to Christ is to align each moment with this undeniable truth. Obedience, in Neville’s sense, is not a forceful correction of others but a disciplined alignment of my inner state with the truth of my being. The readiness to revenge disobedience becomes a continuous inner revision until the external world faithfully mirrors the settled state of inner obedience. Thus, victory is you, here, now, consciously chosen and felt as real.
Practice This Now
Choose one persistent condition and, in quiet, assume it is already fulfilled. Feel the I AM within you affirming the state, then dwell in that realization until the imagination yields to truth.
