Biblical Context
Paul refrains from boasting in others' labors. He expresses hope that as believers' faith grows, the ministry will be enlarged by them according to their own measure.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your mind is Paul’s ‘we,’ a shared interior life. To boast in another’s labors is to mistake external achievement for inner possession. The verse invites you to measure yourself by your own state of consciousness—the true rule by which God counts you. When your faith increases, not by displays of power, but by an inward conviction, you are enlarged according to your own measure. Enlargement is not a brag but a shift of feeling: you feel the I AM as your source, and you align with its inner law, letting your inner world expand first. Humility is the doorway; meekness is the posture of receptivity through which grace flows. If you revise the sense of lack and assume the state of fullness, the outer field shifts to reflect your inner abundance. The promise “we shall be enlarged by you” appears as a natural fruit of the revised inner state. Practice: enter the state of I AM, imagine yourself expanded to the degree your faith has grown, and dwell there until it becomes your lived reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and rest in I AM. Imagine the exact measure of enlargement already present within you, feel your faith rise, and let your outer circumstances gently reflect the inner shift.
