Inner Confidence, No Self-Comparison

2 Corinthians 10:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Corinthians 10 in context

Scripture Focus

11Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
12For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
2 Corinthians 10:11-12

Biblical Context

The passage warns against boasting or comparing oneself with others; true wisdom is not measured by others, but by the inner state of awareness.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this scripture you are invited to examine your inner posture. When you speak of yourself as if you were defined by words others write about you, you project a future you think is outside your present consciousness. The wise do not measure themselves by the opinions of the crowd or by their own self-praise. Instead, recognize that you are the I AM, the ever-present awareness that cannot be improved by comparison. Let go of the habit of sizing yourself against others, for such measuring is a dream produced by the mind that forgets its own source. Your deeds arise from your inner state, which is already complete in consciousness. By aligning your thoughts with the truth that God is within you, you become free from vanity and pride, and your actions will reflect quiet discernment rather than loud boasting.

Practice This Now

Assume for a moment that you are already whole in the I AM. Silently affirm, I am the I AM; I need accept nothing from outside me. Feel the sense of quiet inner value, and let your next speech or gesture arise from that humble awareness.
