Steadfast Hope, Inner Consolation
2 Corinthians 1:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Corinthians 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Your hope for others remains steadfast because, as they share in suffering, they will also share in consolation.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this awakening, the Corinthians' hope is not a distant wish but a state you cultivate. Suffering is not an enemy to be endured; it is the pressure that tames the old self into a new alignment with the I AM you truly are. As you stand firm in the idea that your brother or sister in spirit is already held in consolation, you are practicing the one act that births reality: the assumption. When you accept that participation in their trials dissolves into participation in their peace, you release the inner movement from fear to faith, from separation to unity. The steadfastness of hope mirrors the steadfastness of your consciousness. Through imagination, you invite the consoling presence to be your immediate experience, and the outer event follows as a natural consequence of that inner decree. Remember: God is not distant; God is your awareness, and your awareness is the state you consistently entertain.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of consolation now. Feel it as already yours, and let that sense permeate your breathing until your outer world mirrors it.
