From Suffering to Consolation
2 Corinthians 1:5-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage says that our hardships become the ground for consolation to grow through Christ. As we partake in suffering, we are likewise partakers of consolation and hope.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the 'sufferings of Christ' not as external events pressing upon you, but as a movement of consciousness, a stage in the drama of inner awareness. The apostle speaks of abundance—when the state that calls itself 'I' experiences trial, the same 'I' can radiate consolation that is Christ within. In Neville's terms, suffering and consolation are not separate facts but two harmonies of the same vibration. Your present affliction becomes the space in which your awareness practices a revision: you are not the pain, you are the witness; the witness then dissolves the pain by the authority of Christ, the I AM. When you feel comfort, that is the demonstration that you and others are held in the same inner order; your consolation extends to the recipients of your letters, to the future you hope for. And your hope is steady because you understand the inner rule: as you partake in the sufferings, you shall partake in the consolation. The body of consciousness expands through such alignment, and you discover that the 'salvation' of the text is simply your own awakened state.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already consoled by Christ. Close your eyes, breathe in the I AM, and feel the calm expand through every sensation.
