Rejoicing in Inner Fellowship
2 Corinthians 1:14-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Corinthians 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The text shows mutual acknowledgment and shared rejoicing between Paul and the Corinthians. He expresses a plan to visit again to bless them and to move on toward Judea.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through the I AM, these verses declare that joy is not something given from outside but recognized within as the agreement of adjacent states of consciousness. When the Corinthians acknowledge Paul, they acknowledge a shared state of gratitude and expectancy, and Paul calls this plentiful fruit the day of the Lord Jesus, the moment when awareness recognizes itself as unity. His intention to come again and to pass by them is nothing more than a revision of the inner itinerary: a plan formed in consciousness to broaden the circle of the inner life. The second benefit is the blessing of more throughput of grace, not external travel but the refreshment that happens when two compatible states meet in imagination and live as if already real. The journey through Macedonia toward Judea mirrors the inner journey toward a higher purpose, where each encounter with others is an opportunity to align your inner disposition with your desired future. In truth, the Corinthians are you, and you are they, separated only by your present alignment; the moment you settle this, your whole world reorders itself.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit quietly and assume you are already in joyful fellowship with a specific person. Feel the I AM recognizing this mutual delight, revise your plans in imagination to include a second benefit, and feel it real as you move toward your desired future.
