Together by Prayer: Inner Gift
2 Corinthians 1:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Corinthians 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse invites believers to assist through prayer so that many may express gratitude for the gift bestowed through the collective supplication.
Neville's Inner Vision
Suppose you are aware that you stand in the same I AM with those who pray for you. The verse does not speak of favors merely external; it reveals a psychological mechanism: when 'many' join in prayer, they fuse their states of consciousness into one mode of gratitude. The 'gift bestowed' comes as a relaxation of lack within the mind, an inner grace that is already yours as awareness. By feeling as if the gift is already given, you align with the divine economy in which all energy flows through your conviction. When you pray with others, you are not asking for something external; you are consenting to the unity of your I AM with others, and this unity calls forth the gift into your experience. The result is gratitude expressed by many on your behalf; the gratitude is simply your own inner acknowledgment multiplied by the consciousness of another, then poured outward as blessing.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the state, 'I AM one with those praying for me'; imagine a current of grace flowing toward you and feel the gratitude already given.
