2 Chronicles 9:5-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 9 in context

Scripture Focus

5And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom:
6Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
7Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.
8Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice.
2 Chronicles 9:5-8

Biblical Context

Queen Sheba confirms Solomon's acts and wisdom, and that his wisdom far exceeds what she heard. The outer praise reveals an inner condition of clear discernment governed by divine favor.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, hear this: the queen's praise is a mirror of the inner state you awaken when you acknowledge the I AM as king within. Her report that Solomon's wisdom is greater than she heard is your cue that there is more wisdom in you than you have yet imagined; the eye has to see it before it becomes reality. The throne represents not a seat upon a crown but the alignment of consciousness with God's purpose—justice and discernment ruled by love. When it is said that the LORD delighted to set thee on his throne, understand that your inner God-ward nature has been chosen to govern your thoughts and actions for the good of Israel—your inner community and your outer life. The courtiers and the listeners who stand before you are your habits and faculties that attend to truth; they become happy in the light of your wise ruling. So: assume you are that king now, and feel the reality of your inner kingdom; imagine people praising your wisdom for the benefit of all within you.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume for a few minutes that you are the wisdom on the throne of God, and feel it real as you stand in the inner court; let the inner servants (habits) align to hear your wise guidance.
