Silvery Stones of Thought

2 Chronicles 9:27-28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 9 in context

Scripture Focus

27And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.
28And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.
2 Chronicles 9:27-28

Biblical Context

The passage shows a king making silver as common as stones and cedar trees as plentiful as plains. It also records horses being brought from Egypt and from other lands.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the chronicle not as a boast of empire but as a map of your inner state. The king who makes silver as stones and cedar as abundant is a portrait of consciousness choosing fullness. Jerusalem stands for your awareness; silver and cedar are the wealth and order you affirm there. The horses from Egypt and other lands symbolize the swift power of your thoughts and the readiness of your faculties to move in harmony with a single inner command. When you inhabit a state of fullness, your inner resources move outward, and foreign lands willingly bring their gifts. In Neville’s terms, the outer scene is the echo of the I AM you imagine and persist in. So assume the feeling of already having abundance, dwell in that state, and let the kingdom you govern call forth wealth and power from the vast lands within and around you.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, 'I am wealth in consciousness; my inner kingdom is abundant,' and feel that reality now. Stay with the sensation until it becomes your experience.
