Scripture Focus

11And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.
2 Chronicles 8:11

Biblical Context

Solomon declares sacred boundaries: some places are holy and the Ark's dwelling must remain free from profane influences. This is a mental boundary you can guard in your own consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Solomon's decree that the daughter of Pharaoh shall not dwell in the house of David is not about geography; it is a clause of the state of consciousness. In this inner parable, the city of David is your central I AM, the ark of the LORD is the realized presence, and the places that are holy are your inner dispositions that have welcomed the divine current. When you allow a foreign queen into the temple—the Pharaoh's daughter representing worldly or fear-based tendencies—you dilute the sanctity that belongs only to the Ark. Therefore, you make a boundary: the temple of your life must be kept free of those influences, so that the divine presence can rest, move, and operate unimpeded. The act of moving her away is an act of mental discipline, a revision that the self acknowledges the holiness of its own temple. Your job is to honor the inner sanctuary, to place every thought and feeling in the service of the Ark, and to let the light of awareness fill the hall of your consciousness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine a sacred chamber within your chest; invite the Ark to sit at its center, and declare that no worldly influence may dwell here. Breathe and feel the presence as a steady, holy light filling your inner temple.
