Biblical Context
The temple's high house will astonish passersby, and people will ask why the LORD did this; the answer is that the people forsook the LORD, chased other gods, and brought evil upon themselves.
Neville's Inner Vision
The house and the land are not bricks and soil but your inner kingdom and state of consciousness. When you lay hold on other gods—attachments to fear, lack, or external outcomes—you worship them and invite disharmony. The calamity described is not punitive so much as the outward reflection of an inward misalignment between imagination and the truth of your being. To restore order, assume the steadfast state of the I AM, the sole ruler who never forgets God. Speak from that certainty, revise any sense of separation, and let your temple radiate with the glory of genuine worship. When you accept the Lord as your inner ruler, the high house becomes a beacon, blessing all who pass by, and the land answers with harmony rather than “evil.” Your task is inner alignment, a return to the covenant of loyalty where imagination shapes reality.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the state of the I AM as the sole ruler of your temple. Revise any allegiance to 'other gods' and feel the temple glow with true worship, present and unshakeable.
