Biblical Context

The verses state that when the people go out to war along the path God ordains and pray toward the city and the house built for His name, heaven hears their prayer and sustains their cause.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the city and the house are your own awareness. The war is the clash of conflicting states of consciousness; the path God sends is the alignment you accept as true. When you turn your attention to the city you have chosen and the house you have built in the name of God, you set the terms of the prayer in the law of imagination. God here is not a distant judge but your I AM, the all-knowing listening consciousness. To hear from heaven and to maintain the cause means your assumption persists until your inner petition becomes your lived state. The outer events of war are but a reflection of inner movements: fear, resolve, faith, and surrender to a greater purpose. By staying faithful to the inner vision, you allow the divine to act through you, turning apparent opposition into the alignment of your desire with law. Your victory is the result of feeling it real, not conjuring it from without.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quiet, assume the state you seek as already real, feel the I AM hear your petition, and linger in the sense of your inner victory until it is your present experience.
