Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Solomon completes the temple work, brings the ark to its appointed place, and the assembly worships as the glory of the LORD fills the temple with a radiant cloud.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the scene as a vivid allegory of your own consciousness. The house of the LORD is the state of awareness you inhabit; the ark is your I AM—the steadfast presence that cannot depart. When Solomon and the whole assembly lift their gaze to the ark, you are practicing a revision of inner consciousness—calling forth the covenant and the sacred vessels from within your mind. The singers and priests symbolize the harmonious thoughts, feelings, and righteous actions aligned in praise. When their united sound fills the space, a cloud of presence descends, and the temple is flooded with the glory of the LORD. The external rite does not cause this filling; it merely witnesses what you already are. You do not seek God’s presence as an outside gift; you awaken to it as your own I AM, and the world reflects that inner reality. The temple stands, because the glory of God has filled it from within, as you insist, I AM that I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, assume the state 'The temple is finished; the ark is at its place; the glory fills the house.' Feel the room warm with presence; stay in that feeling for a few breaths.
