2 Chronicles 33:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 33 in context

Scripture Focus

13And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.
2 Chronicles 33:13

Biblical Context

Manasseh prays, is intreated, and is brought back to his kingdom. The passage suggests that prayer and inward surrender realign the inner state, restoring one's consciousness to its rightful authority.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner Bible of your mind, Manasseh is a symbol of a mind turned outward, of a will that forgot the I AM. When he prays, the inner governor is intreated—an unforced surrender to the truth you already are. The 'LORD he was God' expresses the simple fact that God is not a distant judge but the very awareness you are when you say 'I AM.' The return to Jerusalem is not a geographical event but the restoration of your center, the state from which all your choices proceed. Being brought back into his kingdom means your consciousness is realigned with the divine order; you live from your true throne, not from fear or pride. And then Manasseh 'knew'—not with the intellect, but with the experiential recognition that the I AM is God. In your own life, a prayer rightly offered awakens you to this living truth: you are the kingdom, you are the king, and the Lord within you is God.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, assume the feeling of your inner kingdom restored, and dwell in the I AM as your reality. Let the sense of being brought home guide your next choices.
