Manasseh's Inner Revival

2 Chronicles 33:10-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 33 in context

Scripture Focus

10And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.
11Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.
12And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,
13And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.
14Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.
15And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
16And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.
17Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only.
2 Chronicles 33:10-17

Biblical Context

Manasseh is humbled in exile, prays to God, and is restored. He then purges idols and renews worship in Jerusalem.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the inner order, the Lord spake to Manasseh and his people, but they would not heed; so consciousness is moved by disciplined interruption. The exile is not a punishment outside you but a storm within that jolts you from the sleep of idols. In the moment of affliction, the I AM of your heart bends in mercy, and the soul humbles itself before its own God. The prayer that follows is not to change others but to awaken your own inner alignment; and when your supplication is heard, you are brought back to the Jerusalem of awareness, to your rightful kingdom in the I AM. Then the inner altar is repaired: you cast out the false gods you have worshiped and restore true worship within. The outer forms may still exist as symbols, but the living reality is this: you serve the LORD God of Israel alone. This is the turn from judgment to renewal—the moment you know 'the LORD he is God' inside.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are returned to your inner Jerusalem, with the I AM on the throne. Feel the purification of your heart as idols fall away and true worship is restored.
