Observe that the decree to gather from Beersheba to Dan to keep the Passover is not a historical event abroad, but a statement of inner agreement. The king and the congregation are your attention and your belief declaring, in the present moment, that you will honor the Truth within. The longing to observe the Passover is the memory of your first covenant with the I AM; the act of proclaiming it throughout Israel is the willingness to extend that covenant to every part of your awareness. When you revise your sense of self to align with the writing, you awaken a redeemer within - the fidelity that keeps your inner temple intact. The outer ceremony becomes a symbol of the inner compliance with law, not as enforcement but as consent of your imagination. The not done it of a long time note is simply the old state dissolving as you choose to inhabit the present decision. The Passover, then, is not past tradition but your present realization: awareness free, praise directed to the LORD God of Israel within.
