Biblical Context
The priests carry out purification rites as commanded by Moses, sprinkling blood. The Levites oversee cleansing those who are not sanctified, making them holy unto the LORD.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine the scene as your inner temple. You stand in your appointed place, not by force, but by recognizing that you are the I AM—the living law of your own mind. The law of Moses becomes not a distant decree but your inner principle, the memory of God within. When the priests sprinkle blood, inner life pours into your thoughts, cleansing them of fear and doubt. There are many in the congregation who are not sanctified—your stubborn beliefs, memories, and habits that cling to you. The Levites, your faculty of discernment, take charge of the Passover for every unclean part of you, sanctifying them unto the LORD. In this light, cleansing is not a ritual of fear but a revision of consciousness: you assume you are already sanctified and act from that state. Each moment you adjust your inner posture, the outer world shifts to reflect your new state. You do not persuade God to bless you; you awaken to the fact that you are the blessing, and the blessing sanctifies every corner of your life.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes, declare, 'I am sanctified now,' and feel your inner Levite moving through thoughts, sprinkling life into them until fear dissolves; hold that feeling for a few breaths.
