Biblical Context
The passage describes two tall pillars flanking the temple entrance, with chains and pomegranates, named Jachin and Boaz, standing before the house.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the Neville manner, the two pillars are not mere stones but two standing states of consciousness upholding the temple of your mind. Jachin, meaning “he shall establish,” is the disposition by which you establish your reality in the I AM here and now. Boaz, meaning “in him is strength,” is the empowering presence you invoke when fear or doubt arises. The height and beauty of the pillars remind you that your inner sanctuary is ordered and radiant when you fix your attention on the Presence of God—the I AM that never leaves. The chains and the hundred pomegranates symbolize binding, yet fruitful thoughts that connect your inner promises to outward experience; they show that unity and abundance grow from a mind aligned with divine law. As you imagine this doorway within, you covenant with yourself to remain loyal to the I AM, allowing life to be established and made strong by your inner truths. In short, the temple stands because you stand in awareness, here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and envision standing before your inner temple. In your right pillar, affirm “Jachin—establish,” and in your left pillar, affirm “Boaz—strength.” Feel the I AM illuminate the doorway as you declare your life is established and strong.
