Biblical Context
Two cherubim stand with wings spread, inward-facing, symbolizing the sacred boundary and the concealed presence of God in the sanctuary. Their coordinated reach marks the breadth of inner life and the unity of worship.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner temple is not a stone structure but a state of consciousness. The wings of the cherubim are the two forces of attention and feeling that span your mind, twenty cubits in symbolism, showing how far your awareness can travel when you remember who you are. One wing of the first cherub, five cubits long, gestures toward the wall of limitation; the other wing, five cubits likewise, joins its companion, teaching that limitation yields when desire and discipline unite. When these wings spread fully, twenty cubits, you stand upright in the Presence you seek, with faces inward toward the I AM that you truly are. God is not somewhere outside; He is the Presence you awaken as consciousness. The altar is your heart; the sanctuary is the field of attention you choose to inhabit. True worship is not external ceremony but alignment—holding your imagination steady on the realization that I AM is both the observer and the observed. As you dwell in this inward architecture, you discover the walls are boundaries you can revise, and the cherubim guard the open space of peace within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine standing inside the temple of your mind with the cherubim wings stretched twenty cubits. Say softly, 'I AM Presence fills this place,' and feel the room buoy with that recognition until it is real.
