Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Zichri, a mighty Ephraimite, kills Maaseiah the king's son and Azrikam the governor of the house and Elkanah next to the king. Israel then carries off 200,000 of their brethren as captives and takes spoil to Samaria.
Neville's Inner Vision
See the text as a mirror of your interior life. Zichri, the mighty man of Ephraim, is the bold belief that separation rules your mind; Maaseiah, the king's son, stands for your inner authority—the son of the king in you—whose life is threatened by violence of thought. Azrikam, the governor of the house, and Elkanah, next to the king, are the managerial voices in your mind, each vying for control. The capture of two hundred thousand of your brethren and the spoiling of your inner wealth are the depopulation of your inner kingdom by fear and doubt. The scene is not merely a history; it is an illustration of consciousness under duress. Yet in Neville's method, you do not resist but revise. Realize that your I AM is the sovereign king within, and the captivity of your thoughts can be reversed by assuming the state of harmony where the inner governor serves the king, not in opposition. The spoil returns, as awareness reclaims every part of the mind.
Practice This Now
Assume the feeling of the inner king's sovereignty now. Visualize the captives returning and the spoils restored to your inner house, and know this order is already true in your consciousness.
