Inner King, Outer Crisis
2 Chronicles 28:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse portrays violent upheaval in Judah’s leadership as a mighty man from Ephraim slays the king’s son and two close figures; it signals a collapse of authority in the outward realm.
Neville's Inner Vision
See this not as history in Judah, but as a living image in your own consciousness. Zichri, the mighty man, is the force of fear pressing on the throne of your mind; Maaseiah, the king’s son, is the heir to your former sense of rule, a kingly quality now passing away as a belief. Azrikam the governor of the house and Elkanah who stands beside the king are the thoughts and close companions that marshal your life’s image. The violence in the scene is the inner movement that seems to tear away what you trusted as secure. In Neville’s terms, the outer event is the projection of an inner state; the question is, Who rules now? The answer is the I AM within, awareness that does not perish when appearances crumble. If you affirm the throne of your mind and dwell in the certainty that the I AM is king here and now, you reverse the sense of decay. The kingdom of God becomes your present awareness, not a distant future. Through assumption, revision, and feeling it real, the inner governor remains intact and your outer world echoes your deepest conviction.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and feel the I AM seated on the throne of your mind now. Declare, 'I am the King,' and rest in that royal state until upheaval dissolves into quiet certainty.
