Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse states that the rest of Jotham's deeds, wars, and conduct are recorded in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the awake, this verse reveals the inner library where every act and decision is inscribed by your I AM, the I AM that is king over all. The 'book of the kings' is the inner script of consciousness—the record you are writing by your present state. Jotham's wars and ways mirror the battles and habits you cultivate in mind; the 'rest' is not fate but a facet of your current inner script, waiting to be revised. The two kingdoms, Israel and Judah, stand for the facets of self you steward—reason and faith, action and trust—united under your royal I AM. When you dwell in the feeling that this royal self is real now, you begin to rewrite the pages by assuming the end you seek. The moment you acknowledge that your life is written in such a register, you take up the pen and move in harmony with the crowned self. Your present consciousness is the sovereign editor; the seen world follows from the inner declaration.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, place a hand on your heart, and declare, 'I am the author and king of my life; this inner book is written now.' Then revise a current scene by feeling the wish fulfilled and acting from the royal self.
