Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jotham fought the Ammonites and prevailed. He became mighty because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God, and his deeds were recorded.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that the outer war with the Ammonites is a symbol of inner conflict in your life. The money, the tribute, the victories, are not separate acts but moments when your inner state has aligned with the I AM, the LORD your God. Jotham’s secret was not more fighting but more faith in a finished state: he prepared his ways before the LORD, meaning he refused to meet circumstances as they are but as they would be in a completed, present sense. In Neville’s method, the LORD is the I AM within you, the awareness that can revise any scene by a simple assumption. To 'prepare' is to sanctify your mind, to choose a state and dwell there until it feels real. When you dwell in that state, the outer world reimburses the inner ledger—strength comes, enemies become figures of the old belief, and the record of your acts grows in the book of your inner Kings. You will see yourself as mighty because you have already prepared your way before God, and the rest writes itself.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, place your attention on the I AM, and declare, 'I have prepared my ways before the LORD my God.' Then imagine a scene where you are already mighty, and feel the certainty settle into you.
