Inner Judgment, Outer Separation
2 Chronicles 26:20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Chronicles 26 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Azariah the chief priest and the priests notice the king’s leprous forehead and expel him, because the Lord has smitten him.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the scene as your inner court. The chief priest is your inner law; the king is a state of consciousness that believed it could defy the I AM. The leprous forehead appears as a belief that your life is defiled by separation from your divine image. When the priests thrust him out, you hear the inner discipline that says that old self no longer acts in the kingdom of your mind. The Lord smiting him is the divine correction your awareness administers to the old state. In this reading outward events are symbolic expressions of inner alignment. Do not condemn yourself for past actions; instead revise the state you identify with. By choosing the healed, whole I AM, you allow the old belief to dissolve and restore order in consciousness. The moment you assume a seamless identity with the I AM, the appearance of leprosy falls away and your inward sanctuary resumes its rule.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit quietly, breathe deeply, and imagine the I AM watching the scene and declaring, I am whole. Feel that state as real and let the old fear dissolve into restored order.
