Army of Inner Power
2 Chronicles 26:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Chronicles 26 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse describes a large army under the king's command. It is ready to wage war against the enemy.
Neville's Inner Vision
Take the scene as a parable of your own consciousness. The king stands for the I AM within you, the awareness that rules your world. The army under his hand—the three hundred thousand, seven thousand, and five hundred—are not a literal force but the manifold energies of your mind organized and ready to assist your decisions. They move with mighty power to help the king against the enemy, which is fear, doubt, and limitation. When you imagine this army as already under the king’s command, you align your inner weather to support victorious action. You do not seek victory in the outer world; you claim it by awakening to what you are. The vastness of the numbers shows the abundance of the inner faculties—will, imagination, feeling, memory, courage—mobilized by your assumption. As you rest in the realization that you, not the army, are the ruler, the external scene rearranges to reflect your inner state. Imagination creates reality; through the silent act of assumption, you fortify the inner army until it becomes the outer conquest you desire.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the kingly role; feel the inner army moving at your command. Inwardly declare I AM the ruler of this scene and these powers serve my decision now, until the enemy dissolves.
