Biblical Context
Judah's people appoint sixteen-year-old Uzziah as king in Amaziah's place. He builds Eloth, restores it to Judah, and then dies, joining his fathers.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within your chest, the people of Judah are your faculties—awareness, memory, purpose—choosing a new king in the room of the old Amaziah. A sixteen-year-old state of consciousness arises, young, eager, a governor who loves the land. This king, Uzziah, does not come by outward force but by the decision you hold in imagination. When you let this new idea rule, Eloth—the stronghold you keep and defend in your inner city—begins to be rebuilt and returned to your rightful domain in Judah, the heart of your kingdom. The moment of his father’s sleep is the passing away of the old ruler, the old story you’ve worn, the limitation you believed was permanent. With that sleep, the past drops away and the future stands alive within you, ready to act with righteousness and justice. Your awareness now rests in the I AM, and through imagination you reconstitute your inner geography—ownership, order, and dignity—so that your life becomes a living parable of the Kingdom of God within.
Practice This Now
Step into the scene for a minute: assume the crown and softly declare, I am the ruler of my inner kingdom. See Eloth restored in your mind and feel the I AM grounding this leadership as real.
