Inner Provision, Outer Fear

2 Chronicles 25:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 25 in context

Scripture Focus

9And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.
10Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger.
2 Chronicles 25:9-10

Biblical Context

Amaziah asks what to do about the hundred talents spent. The man of God says the LORD can give much more, and the Ephraim army is sent home, leaving Judah in great anger.

Neville's Inner Vision

I see in this text the drama of a man waking to the truth that supply is not secured by what is spent or guarded, but by the state of consciousness that is aware. Amaziah represents the ego clinging to the known means of security; the hundred talents are the tangible assurances we hold as real. The prophet's reply, 'The LORD is able to give thee much more than this,' is the reminder that your I AM, your inner awareness, is the true treasury. When you grant the mind permission to rest in that abundance, the external shows up as the army of Ephraim being dismissed—not as a rescue from without, but as the mind releasing old supports that do not last. The anger that roars when old affiliations depart is the resistance of the old self to a new sense of supply. Sit with this: the universe is an inner economy, and to revise is to shift belief from 'I must guard every talent' to 'I am led by a limitless flow.' In that shift, what is needed is already provided by the living presence within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and dwell in the I AM; repeat, 'The LORD is able to give thee much more than this' until it feels true, then visualize the army dissolving into a symbol of abundance and you walking in a continuous stream of supply.
