Biblical Context
In 2 Chronicles 25:7–10, a prophet warns Amaziah not to go to battle relying on Ephraim; God can supply more than material weapons, and the king separates the external army, setting the stage for a future shaped by inner guidance and faith.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the king represents a state of consciousness facing a choice: lean on external strength or awaken to the inner God in I AM. The 'man of God' is your inner voice, cautioning against reliance on familiar opinions (the Ephraim army). The words, 'the LORD is not with Israel' indicate that identity is not in externals but in alignment with the divine Presence within. When Amaziah is told, 'If thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle,' you hear your own inner command: act boldly from your present I AM, but not by the ego's fear-based plan. The prophecy that 'God shall make thee fall' reveals that trying to impose out-of-balance power collapses; God 'is able to give thee much more than this'—your inner supply of imagination and faith, providing outcomes beyond mere money or troops. The act of separating the army reflects shedding belief attachments that do not serve the larger purpose. The test becomes an invitation to trust God within to guide every choice, even when the outer alliance rages. Providence, then, becomes your present awareness, guiding every step toward a future that aligns with the divine nature within you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume I AM is present here as you. Feel God with you, revise fear, and picture the external army receding, while you stand strong, guided by inner supply.
