Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Amaziah began his reign at twenty-five and reigned twenty-nine years. He did what was right in the LORD's sight, but not with a perfect heart.
Neville's Inner Vision
Verse 2 calls you to notice that 'doing right' without a perfect heart leaves the kingdom of your life in partial sway. In the language of the inner teacher, God is the I AM, the consciousness that animates every action. Amaziah's record is not a judgment on character but a map of the inner weather: outward correctness may march, but if the heart remains unsettled, the full reign of divine order cannot be felt. You are the one who reigns; the inner state you cultivate, not merely the external acts, determines what takes place in your world. When you say 'I am the perfect heart now,' you anchor the feeling that your decisions unfold from a complete trust in the I AM within. The shift is not about denying action, but about aligning the motive with truth so that every choice arises from the same center. The inner kingdom precedes the outer kingdom: until your heart is perfected in consciousness, your life will reflect that incompleteness. So you practice not by compulsion but by revision of your inner state, the joyous assurance that you are, here and now, the one sovereign who makes right what becomes real.
Practice This Now
Assume the state 'I am the perfect heart, now,' feel it real, and let that inner conviction guide your every action.
