Think of the invasion as the mind showing you what happens when you forget the LORD within. The Syrians and their spoil stand for restless thoughts and fixed beliefs that arise when you forsake the I AM. The great host falling into the hands of the enemy is the outward world answering your inner state. This is not a judgment from a distant God but the natural consequence of a consciousness that has wandered from its source. When you awaken to I AM as your permanent center and declare that the Lord God of your life is always with you, those threatening appearances fade and the outer order is reestablished. The end of the year in the story becomes a spiritual pivot where you replace fear with faith and dependency on circumstance with devotion to your inner covenant.
