2 Chronicles 23:18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 23 in context

Scripture Focus

18Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David.
2 Chronicles 23:18

Biblical Context

Jehoiada organizes the priestly offices in the house of the LORD, distributing duties to offer burnt offerings with rejoicing and singing, as Moses' law required.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the verse speaks of a renewal of order in the temple of consciousness. The 'house of the LORD' is the inner state you are tending; the 'priests' and 'Levites' are your faculties of attention and feeling. When David arranged the service, and when Jehoiada reopens it now, you hear an invitation to reorganize your inner government according to truth you already know. The offerings are not animal rites, but the burning away of fear, doubt, and resistance—sacrifices of old identities. The joy and singing represent alignment with the I AM, the awareness that never flees but simply shines through your thoughts. As you assume the posture of the steward of your inner sanctuary, you invite the right people, the right movements, to do the work you intend. This is a restoration of worship as act of inner obedience: you keep to the law written in your own heart, and the temple becomes a living expression of that law.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and declare, 'I AM reorganizing my inner temple now; I appoint the trusted faculties to duties of love, truth, and joy.' Then imagine a small altar within your chest, and feel the release of fear as a flame consumes it, replaced by a song of praise.
