Neville's Inner Vision
To the inner ear of the soul, 2 Chronicles 23:10 whispers that the sanctuary is not a place to fight but a state to hold. The king on the throne is the I AM, and the people with weapons are the thoughts you permit into the sacred space. The right side to the left side encircling the altar and temple is the full circumference of your awareness. When you read that the troops stood by the altar, you are invited to posture your mind as guardian around your most holy center—your present awareness. The temple is your immediate sense of being; the altar represents sacrifice—letting go of fear, pride, and reaction; the temple round about is the continuous circle of attention. This inner order makes true worship possible: alignment with the I AM, which exists as your awareness when you guard with discipline and love. Remember, imagination creates reality: what you mentally surround with certainty becomes your world. Practice this inner guard, and you will sense God’s indwelling not as distant rite but as your awakened state.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and place the I AM as king at the center. Visualize a circle of sentinel thoughts around the temple; breathe, and declare, 'I AM guard of this sacred space'; feel it real.
