Irony Of A Faithful Lineage

2 Chronicles 22:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 22 in context

Scripture Focus

9And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.
2 Chronicles 22:9

Biblical Context

Ahaziah is seized and slain; they bury him because he is Jehoshaphat’s son, who sought the LORD with all his heart, and thus Ahaziah’s house loses its power to rule.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the narrative, Ahaziah represents a belief-form that would rule outwardly when the inner state is not aligned with the I AM. Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart, stands for a consciousness that has become loyal to the presence of God within. When that inner state is fully claimed, the outer order must yield; hence Ahaziah is caught and slain, and his house cannot hold the kingdom. The burial marks the ending of an old self that tried to pretend sovereignty. You, too, have such two kingdoms within: the old pattern that fears, controls, and seeks power, and the new order that trusts the I AM and dwells in the certainty of God’s government. The verse does not condemn history; it shows the law of consciousness: your life becomes what your inner devotion commands. If your heart truly seeks the LORD, your outer world aligns, and the power of the past dissolves. Therefore, know that your kingdom is secure when you maintain faithfulness in the quietness of your own I AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the Jehoshaphat posture: seek the LORD with all your heart within you. See the old, fear-based self being led away and buried, while the inner kingdom asserts itself as unshakable.
