Neville's Inner Vision

To the mystic, the numbers are not time-tables but states of consciousness. Jehoram’s age at ascent signals the maturity of a particular inner awareness you have chosen to adopt as ruler. The eight-year reign marks the persistence of that inner government—the steady rule of certain thoughts, feelings, and stories in the inner Jerusalem, the seat of judgment and choice. In Neville’s sense, the outer king is the inner I AM become aware of itself: sovereignty comes not from an age or a throne, but from awareness that you are imagining your world into being. If you inhabit this scene as the I AM-observer, you are already king over a realm of perception. The "reign" you experience corresponds to the consistency of your inner decree. God, as the I AM, stands within you, not as a distant court, but as the consciousness that refuses to surrender to fear, lack, or limitation. Your true Jerusalem is the center of conviction, love, and decision; when you assume you reign, you revise your inner weather and the outer scene follows.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, assume the feeling of reigning, and declare I AM the ruler of my inner Jerusalem; from this I create my days. Then gently revise one recurring thought into a calm, confident image.
