Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The king began ruling at thirty-two, ruled eight years in Jerusalem, and died unloved. He was buried in the city of David, but not in the kings' tombs.
Neville's Inner Vision
In your life you may see your outer scene mirror a hidden inner state. The king of 2 Chronicles 21:20 begins as a ruler at 32, rules eight years, and departs not desired; yet this is not a prophecy about him alone. It is a mirror for you. I am that I am, the awareness that shapes every scene. If I feel unvalued, I am living from a memory that my inner king has not chosen to reign. The burial outside the kings tombs is the end of a former state that no longer serves the present you as king. I must return to the inner city of David, the seat of royal consciousness, and assume a new reign. I revise the ending by declaring now and here that I reign with love, dignity, and endurance. My awareness creates the scene; when I feel the royal state as real, the outer world aligns with this inner kingship. The old tomb dissolves because the I AM is enthroned within me, and I am beloved of God in this moment.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume a noble reign in the city of David within you. Feel it real now by repeating I reign in peace and abundance, and revise the ending of your story to reflect a present, beloved king at work.
