Inner Heart Alignment

2 Chronicles 20:33-34 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 20 in context

Scripture Focus

33Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.
34Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.
2 Chronicles 20:33-34

Biblical Context

The passage states that the high places were not removed because the people had not prepared their hearts to the God of their fathers. Jehoshaphat's acts are later summarized in the record.

Neville's Inner Vision

Behold that the outward tales and the high places are but images of your inner life. The high places remain because the heart has not yet prepared itself to God as I AM—the inner Father. When you see this, you are not condemned; you are invited to a correction in consciousness. The remedy is to assume the end; revise your sense of self until your heart is aligned with the God of your fathers. In this inward alignment, the rest of the record—acts—becomes not history but proof that your inner choice shapes outer form. So you, in this hour, can prepare your heart by a simple assumption: that you are already in harmony with God, that the I AM within is fully acknowledged, and that all high places are willingly laid down as your birthright springs to life in your daily experience.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume you are already aligned with God. Quietly say, 'I AM aligned with the God of my fathers,' and feel that truth sinking into your chest; hold this feeling for a minute to rewrite your inner pattern.
